President Karen Sequist created SEQ Drilling with the support of her Master Driller husband, Craig "Sonny" Sequist. Creating the vision of a renowned drilling firm by delivering professional and accurate drilling services.

Background

Karen assisted her father in growing the oil, petroleum, and automobile businesses during her teens, which sparked her interest in the business world. She was encouraged to make a difference in a new area after getting a Bachelor of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and she worked as an Account Manager at Adams Marketing, maximizing operational effectiveness in Federal Government office/computer supply contracts. Karen is responsible for creating and expanding SEQ Drilling's revenue growth by facilitating partnerships with a variety of potential clients, cultivating customer relationships, and serving as the company's president.

After thirteen years in Chesterfield, the Sequists moved to Hanover, Virginia, where they raised their three beautiful daughters, Madeline (13), Olivia (11), and Piper (7). As a substitute teacher, I embraced the community and strived to improve public education. I was also chosen vice president of programs at Spring Run Elementary and led the groundskeeping committee, which assisted the school in maximizing its financial resources. In July of 2020, we founded SEQ Drilling, Inc. as a result of the career roller coaster that we both endured. The family-owned business grew and relocated to Hanover in November 2021 to provide consumers with a more convenient location. Developing an environment that will support professional development in the geological sector and provide next-generation data recovery.
